Mood today bc I just released my first commissioned think piece!!! —— At the beginning of the year, one of my manifestations for 2022 was to start getting paid for my writing. That’s HUGE for any creative to ask to be paid for their work. It’s powerful not only to communicate to the world that you value your craft enough to earn those necessary coins but it’s also commanding that you own it, too. And in the world of digital art, that’s a big deal. This is my first opinion essay where I’ve spent a lot of time researching prior to make sure I approached the topic with accuracy and purpose. I explore this idea of Creative Status, which is my coined term for understanding levels of status within the creative space. Read it on my Braid network!
