Nurcahya and her son Kenzie live on the island of Nias, near Lagundri Bay, one of the best barrelling right-handers off the Sumatran coast 🌏️🌴⁠ ⁠ Many women from Nurcahya’s village have a low level of education (with few graduating from primary school). Mothers who lack basic health and maternal education have children who more commonly suffer from preventable diseases including diarrhea, pneumonia, sepsis and measles.⁠ ⁠ 🤰🏽Luckily for Nurcahya, she heard about SurfAid’s programs for new mothers whilst in her third trimester.⁠ ⁠ After welcoming her baby Kenzie last year with we are proud to report he is thriving.
