Meet the wahine behind the operations of our organization! 💪🔨 Rachael Roehl is our Director of Action here at SCH! In addition to being an incredible artist, she spearheads sponsor and partner relations, planning and executing our large-scale cleanups and events, and she works directly with clients that hire our waste diversion services through our Sustain Events program. The coolest things about Rach is her "can do" attitude as she leads the flow of operations at our events. Our Sustain Events program is run by our epic Sustain Events Coordinator, Steffi Ohashi! She specializes in the planning and execution of waste management services at events like the most recent Red Bull Foam Wreckers Event at Awāwamalu, data collection, and the inventory + maintenance of supplies. If you ever see one of our waste diversion bins at an event, you'll probably see Steffi too! Throughout years of experience in waste management, Steffi is definitely the person to talk SCHtory with about the ins, outs, and importance of turning waste into a resource. And.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE! 🥁🥁🥁 Our incredible Action Coordinator, Shaina Duran! All of the behind the scenes operations in making SCH run are carried out by her. From creating and implementing storage systems for our gear, overseeing office operations, and supporting the communications, planning, and logistics of our cleanup and volunteer programs, Shaina is the allen wrench that puts together our programs... and if you've ever had to put a piece of furniture together, you know how ~critical~ those wrenches are 👀 If you ever happen to see any of these women at an event, say hi!
