🔋 ELECTRIC FOREST 🔋 The artistry!!! I came back from EF so inspired and invigorated to make weird, funny, vulnerable, authentic, silly art. It’s a whole new Siri and a whole new Emily tbh. Thank you to @facisha_farce for booking this clown and The People’s Court for being my festival family and holding me down in a completely new environment that I was only 50% prepared for. Thank you to @fungineers for shaking my world the fuck up. I know I gassed all of you up individually so I won’t do it again but my art will never be the same after your show. I saw Disclosure, which I never thought I’d do so that was really special, and became a new fan of Porter Robinson, who almost made a bitch cry WHILE dancing my ass off. Thank you to the Rosie the Riveter character actresses who massaged my whole body for $0.00 every day (don’t worry, I tipped). I’m grateful for all the incredible artists I met this weekend. The level of talent was far too much. Thank you for accepting a festival newcomer into the fold - I enjoyed playing and partying with... most of you. 👀 Some highlights not shown: - fucking my typewriter onstage so hard it broke - a super hot simulated foursome onstage with @d.a.n.d.o_ , a raccoon puppet, and a festival goer that got roped into our shenanigans - the praying mantis ravers on stilts - the saxophone & bass staff party that went until noon. You all go hard like wtf, it was really special getting down without all the festival bros - the poetry brothel. @velvet_envy_ and @rentpoet were incredible - clowning around the woods and messing with people with @dallys.circus, @damothmusic, @thegeekyhomemaker, and @facisha_farce in a dirty judge robe - eating an açaí bowl in a hammock during the day and listening to what turned out to be @porterrobinson playing piano 3 ft away If you read this far, you need to close this app and make some friends. Regardless, I had an incredible time and can’t wait to talk everyone’s ear off about this festival for the next month and a half. I’m exhausted, swollen, sick, and I’ve got dirt in places doctors haven’t confirmed aren’t abnormal growths - but like... it was a whole vibe. I’d do it again. 🤷‍♀️
