Let’s Grow New Systems!!! Starting this week the @mycosymbiotics crew will be renovating the ancillary cafeteria in the Old Bishop McDevitt HighSchool aka @thebridge_ecovillage I’ve been farming mushrooms in closets, sheds, garages, shacks, and outdoors for over a decade! In 2017 I had the unique opportunity to set up and operate a Cordyceps Farm in Weaverville, North Carolina which I operated for a year on my own and tired myself out. Since then I’ve been back in the same garage my friend has been renting me in Lemoyne for 7 years!! We’ve been able to gain international media and accounts from our little urban micro farms. It was apparent last year in 2021 that we outgrew our space, so I started looking to buy or lease a new farm space. I’m a humble guy I don’t own much, but I know I want to own a farm, I may not own this space but I couldn’t be happier to expand into a space that is in complete alignment with my goals for community and hyper local food access. Many thanks to @garry_gilliam for giving me this opportunity to expand my business in a way that feels ethical. We’re gonna grow tons of mushrooms in here on local agricultural and organic waste streams, effectively reducing the amount of methane in our air, and creating tons of waste materials, which will be processed by our vermi-digesters 🪱 into Rich Compost to grow amazing Food in the Gardens out in the old football field! Praises to the Most High, we will continue to feed our family and friends off good work that positively impacts our ecology and society... on gang #OverGrowTheSystem
