Loss and damage finance is not a charity or humanitarian aid, it is debt the United States, Canada, UK, EU, owe us. Because without us developed nations will not be able to survive, without the work of indigenous people protecting the planet, there would be nothing to protect. The Asian content produces most of the worlds textile- we clothe you. South America provides the US with its fruits, with grain- it feeds you! Africa with minerals and water- it quenches you. With our us the world of consumption falls apart: you die. Our survival is nature’s survival, is the developed world’s survival. Pay us, the debt you owe us.
