We still have some rather fabulous tricks up our sleeve! 😘 A NEW EXHIBITION ˋ°•*⁀➷ As of tomorrow we’re adding an exhibition showcasing new work from This Bright Land’s creative ambassadors in the East Wing Galleries, open from 12 - 5pm each day (except Saturday when it’ll close at 4pm) from tomorrow August 24 until August 29. Entry is FREE. ‘On the Pulse of Morning’ will explore themes of resilience, hope and solidarity through film, photography, digital art and collage, and will feature newly created works from Allie Bittar, KD Rose, Kumbirai Makumbe, Jesse Nght, Ebun Sodipo, Frank Mukisa Nsubuga and Yordanos Belay of Compass Collective. PLUS A *VERY* SPECIAL FRIDAY NIGHT PERFORMANCE ˋ°•*⁀➷ In addition to the exhibition in the East Galleries, on Friday Aug 26 at 6pm, artist Chloe Filani, in collaboration with fellow TBL creative ambassador Ebun Sodipo, will present a radical new performance art piece in the Lancaster Room in the New Wing of Somerset House. Titled ‘Come in and out of waves, Come in and out the sea,’ this must-see event will feature Oríkì - oral praise poetry of the Yórùbá - offering an intense meditation on ancestry and ritual practice. Tickets for this performance are free, but space is limited so arrive early to avoid disappointment. Again, Entry is FREE.
