Independence in cooking 🧑🍳.
I’ve been cooking and baking for years and wanted to share some 👍tips and hacks I’ve learned along the way to becoming independent in hopes of helping others.
🤗All types of people might struggle with fine motor skills- (doing small controlled movements with your✋ hands):
💜 people with varying disabilities
❇️ the young
💟 the elderly
Through the help of 2 incredible Occupational therapists in my life
💚julie💜@nina-
I’d love to share what they‘ve taught me over the years.
I’m giving 2 different options for doing the same task : the first one is the more challenging way,
the second an easier way.
My fine motors skills have improved so much since starting to cook that many of the modifications I no longer need. But some I still use so I don’t have to ask for help 🙌.
It’s never too early to start helping in the kitchen !
If you’ve found this video helpful please ❤️❤️ and we’ll do more!
👀And BTW- I usually don’t spray Pam on 🥕 vegetables 😁!! But we were trying to show a way of using oil spray.
Things I used:
🔸Motorized can opener
Amazon $20
🔸Thick plastic knives
Amazon $6
🔸Non-Aerosol Oil Sprayer Bottle
Amazon $23
