On Saturday 8/20 I re-shared a boomerang of me performing to my story & said “i was bombing here harder than i ever have before.” The outpouring of support was amazing, so much so that a few patrons of the arts venmoed me $6 to $15 so I could purchase the video of my whole set. I said i would share the whole unedited set but given that i blacked out for a large portion of my set i forgot that i talked about a friend, my parents & my job in a way that would get me in trouble, in trouble & fired. So, in an effort for transparency, i did have to remove portions of my set. What remains is chilling documentation of me being abrasive, charmless, forgetting the rhythm of my own jokes, & at one point asking the audience to tell me where they all are from at the same time while i whisper to myself “omg the lights up here are like beating on my face.” I think it’s amazing when you can watch someone firsthand give up on themselves & do almost cruelly pointless audience interactions.
