@casablancabrand ‘Apartamento’ It was a blessing getting to shoot this project with Rashid and the team. Not only because we haven’t worked together in ages but also because I genuinely love the clothing Casa create. The attention to detail and intricate design of the collection was unreal to have in frame and getting to capture it through the format of 16mm, made the film look and feel timeless. The prep was really refreshing for this as Rashid and I went back and forth with lots of different refs but it was his 80s Japanese advertising book that gave us lots of inspiration when creating the look & style of the film. “An ode to Japan ‘84. And the worldwide design movements of the time that inspired our Printemps-été “Masao San” collection” I really feel like we nailed the brief and it’s been one of my favourite projects to work on in a while.
