I’m in the game of hair, building assets & creating a lifestyle for myself ✨ . . I’ve built a successful business & hair salon in my 20’s & now being in my 30’s I’m still building. I’m working hard to buy assets instead of liabilities now. During a pandemic, my business was closed for a year. Even though I took a loss, how I survived that was owning the building. I gave up my Range Rover which was a liability, I chose to keep my business & now we’re back to being busy. ➖ Reality: as a business owner, work life balance is really hard. In-between managing a salon, clients, my team & finding time to create content for social media platforms. There is so much work that goes behind the scenes! I have so much respect for business owners & entrepreneurs because it’s a lot of work, sacrifice & dedication. If you feel burnt out, take time to reset & get re-inspired. Work hard but also have balance. Build a life that feels good, make time for yourself. Living a life that feels meaningful, authentic & fulfilled is everything ❤️ a reminder to everyone including myself. Celebrate your wins & take time to reflect on how far you’ve come. I’m working towards that as I work & build on my goals. I am so grateful for my team, for the opportunities & brands/partnerships that believe in me but I also know what it takes. It takes resilience, tough skin & character. Willingness to learn, to constantly fail & to persevere through times of difficulty. Social media is a great way to monetize, network & build a business + work with brands but real life has to genuinely feel as good too. With love - Lisa
