I’ve been dying to see The Housemaid 📖( one of my faves of 2025) come to life and it absolutely delivered last night As a huge fan of the book and author @fmcfaddenauthor I’ll admit I usually think the book is better—but in this case, both the book and the movie are incredible psycho-thrillers. The film has twists that are different from the book, which made it even more fun to watch, and somehow I’m just as obsessed with the movie as I am with the novel. Watching Millie’s story unfold—the “perfect” job, the wealthy family, and the dark secrets behind closed doors—was gripping from start to finish. The Housemaid follows Millie, a woman desperate for a fresh start who accepts a live-in housekeeping job for a wealthy, seemingly perfect family. As she settles into their pristine home, she begins to uncover disturbing secrets, manipulative power plays, and a marriage hiding something far darker than it appears. What starts as a second chance quickly turns into a dangerous psychological game where nothing—and no one—is what it seems. And the casting? Amanda Seyfried @mingey and @sydney_sweeney were perfectly cast. Not to mention @brandonsklenar 🖤 The Housemaid hits theaters December 19th 10/10. No notes.
