There was so much love poured into Brother from the very beginning. I knew when I read the novel, when I read the script, when I spoke with our director Clement Virgo for the first time, when I met our cast. Shout out to being reminded why we do this thing. Shout out to found family and telling our stories. Shout out to TIFF and our audience that showered us with love. Shout out to Scarborough, Toronto, immigrants and all my Caribbean peeps. We de yah.
