1. Drinking alcohol
It's the season of drinking. However, alcohol increases the temper of the skin and makes your skin drier, reddish, and dull. As the pH level of the skin gets higher it can cause acne. If you cannot avoid drinking alcohol try to drink water as much as possible and take some vitamins that help break down alcohol. The day after a party night, having a hydrating sheet mask can replenish the moisture that you lost.
2. Junk food
Normally, junk food contains a lot of fat and gluten. Fat from junk foods makes excess sebum which unclogs pores that become the cause of acne. For some people who have an allergy to gluten, it increases inflammation and makes acne aggravate. If your acne doesn't get better, try to stop eating junk foods that contain unhealthy oil & gluten a lot. Eat fresh veggies, fruits, and nuts. If you get used to eating them, they taste really good!
3. Sleeping on your side
Somehow, sleeping on the side has good effects on the body. It helps to treat insomnia, decrease back pain, and reduce snoring. But for the skin, it's not good. The dirty pillow will not only absorb your precious skincare products but also give you all the bacteria and dirt. Sleeping on your side is the same as sleeping without cleansing. Plus, when you sleep on your side your skin gets pressed which makes your wrinkles deeper.
4. Not applying sunscreen
Yes, foundations and BB creams contain the SPF effect. But those are not made for UV protection. If you apply the foundation as much as you need to protect your skin, your makeup will look caky and thick. Apply the lightweight sunscreen enough before makeup.
5. Using all of the trendy ingredients
You should know your skin has a limit. It has a limit to absorbing skincare products, and your skin can become too sensitive if you use all the harsh ingredients in a routine. Try to focus on what your skin really needs. That is the fastest way to see a better result.
