I don’t do this often, but this need to be addressed. C’mon @southwestair do better. Unacceptable. Thank you @christianscottofficial for capturing this. REPOST from @christianscottofficial • 🚨🚨@southwestair 🚨🚨 Don’t know where to begin... These are videos of both my and @dhodgeworld ‘s musical instruments traveling via @southwestair today Headed to Napa for the festival and advised the airline check in agent and the Oversized/Special bags workers that this case contains a brand new 1 in the world musical instrument that was just completed. To never lay anything on top of the bag and to always lay it on its back. Showed them a myriad of caution, this side up, and fragile stickers on the case labeling exactly how the case should be handled and well the videos speak for themselves. Beyond frustrated at this as it’s a constant when traveling with instruments in general.. but as most of you know all the instruments I play, I create, 10’s of thousands of $’s go into the creation of these prototypes. This particular Chief Adjuah’s bow was finished for premiere this Sunday The 2nd video is of the same treatment befalling Bass Legend @dhodgeworld ‘s bass, she slams the bass down as she did the bow and drags all of the bags across the neck ( the most sensitive part of the instrument) repeatedly. This employee handled the bags with extreme negligence and exclusively dealt with our one of a kind instruments in a manner that would insure their injury. Upon arriving to the airport and showing the baggage manager the videos and condition of my instrument I was told she saw nothing wrong with how the bags were mishandled and that, that was how they are trained. “This is normal” she said than began trying to discredit all the offerings we gave about how unacceptable the treatment was and that this was clearly negligent.. Can’t put into words how beyond frustrating the exchange and experience is #sendhelp #burbankairport #southwestairlines
