Thank you @roberthamstylist for giving me the opportunity! Story time: @thebtcshow changed my life: I went back in 2014 to my first @behindthechair_com show in New Orleans. My idol @guy_tang followed me on Instagram (I was so happy) & told me to come to the show. With no hesitation, I booked my flight & flew out from Toronto on my own. With 3,000 hairstylists there, I was 1 out of so many. Standing out with so many hairstylists but he noticed me & saw something special in me. I can say he truly changed my life, he saw the potential & believed in me before I even believed in myself. Being 24 & getting validation from someone you look up to, that was a defining moment in my life I’ll never forget. It was an incredible experience & he is the most genuine person in this industry. I went from being booked 2 weeks, to 3 months to 6 months to a year. I opened my salon in 2016 & he let me go on stage to assist in Toronto. He changed the way I view this industry. In the beginning of my career & journey: I never had someone who genuinely cared about me in this industry & that's why I have so much love for him. To me it wasn't to gain attention or have overnight success or become famous. It was meeting someone who inspired my career & influenced my life. You completely changed my life Guy, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career. That’s exactly why this show is life changing, the artists you’ll meet.
