Last week I got my 100th cap! It’s made me reflect on my career so far and wow, what a ride it’s been😆 I went to a small college and didn’t get drafted. I was with Reign for their preseason my first year and was told it would be tough to get a contract. So I took a chance and packed my bags and went to New Jersey to try out for Sky Blue (thank you @lbsimon and @dwmlady for graciously taking me in 🤗) I was nervous, scared and motivated. After a few months I was offered a contract and I couldn’t help but cry. It was a dream come true!! I’ve had so many tears and tough losses. But even more wins and great memories I’ll never forget. My favorite part about my career in the NWSL so far, is the incredible people I’ve met. 8 years, three different teams. That’s three different families I’ve been a part of. Each one was so unique in its own way. Now I have best friends all over the country. My forever people🤍 There is a special bond you create with your teammates and I’m so thankful for that. I wouldn’t have reached this without all the support from my family, friends, and teammates who sometimes had to pick me up when I was feeling pretty low. 100- that’s a lot of games. It’s pretty cool I got to reach this milestone at Lumen Field. I’m looking forward to many more 🤗 And remember, everyone’s journey in this league is different!
