Established in 2021, the LOEWE FOUNDATION / Studio Voltaire Award celebrates talent, individuality and original thinking within contemporary art practice. The first chapter of the award benefits seven artists with two years of support, including mentorship, a bursary and rent-free studio space. As we head into the second year, we commissioned awardee Josiah Moktar (@josiahmoktar) to photograph all the artists and their studios. This week we reveal Josiah’s self-portrait and studio images. Moktar's photography explores concepts of desire and the every day, recording contemporary British life with a playful, elegiac observational style.
