the reason I go/went by the name “star” is because I read this book called star girl in middle school that I resonated with a lot. she was a girl who moved to a small town and started attending a local school. People were so dumbfounded by her and thought she was the worst thing that’s ever happened to the school just because she was different and something they’ve never seen before. She wore prairie dresses, strung a ukulele, and carried her pet rat on her shoulder all day long. Everyone found such a reason to hate her just because she was different and didn’t fall into a standard others expected of her. I have always resonated with her so much. the older I get the more I realize I’m literally exactly like her, as I carry my pet rats on my shoulders and literally wear prairie dresses... and i didn’t do it on purpose either ⭐️
