Figured I’d close out the year by going back in time (both by a couple of weeks and about a hundred years...) At the beginning of December I attended a fancy holiday tea at the Drake Hotel with the @chihistoricalcostuming society, and it was one of the highlights of my holiday season this year! It was so much fun getting to dress up and drink fancy tea with others with the same love for and interest in historical costuming! The skirt was a challenge of speed and my own patterning skills haha. Less than 48 hours to the tea I had yardage of fabric and no pattern, but I was able to cobble together this mid-1900s skirt from my skirt block and a waist and pattern. The skirt is purple linen with velvet detailing, the blouse was a purchased piece!
