In June last year my darling little sister Lauren was diagnosed with MS. It came after 15 years of symptoms and gaslighting from doctors and professionals and was a mild relief as at last she could treat it. So much is unknown about Multiple Sclerosis. It is a snowflake illness, which means no two people have the same symptoms and one of the crueler autoimmune diseases as it attacks the brain. It affects more women than men, is often diagnosed between 20-40 years and can be mild and relapsing or progressive and fatal. This month I am supporting Lauren in raising funds and awareness of the disease by walking 50km to leave MS behind!
