Thanks for the long lost memories @oldslapmags! Old rookie skateboards add in SLAP. Was my first time out of the country and meant to be a 2 week trip to Quito Ecuador along with a heavy crew including @pstonebru. I ended up getting robbed so many times I ended up there over a month minus the crew. Even funnier story is. I didn’t have any ID at all to get my first passport and the agency wouldn’t give me one and @coanbuddynichols talked me into going back with all the @oldslapmags and @thrashermag’s I’d been in to try to use as my ID. This was pre 9/11 and it fucking worked! I got my first passport with old skate mags as my ID 🤯from the NYC government passport agency. A few months later after finally making it home to NYC 9/11 happened and nothing like that will ever happen again.
