One of my favorite classes during my Master's degree was "Leadership in the UN," where I received insider perspectives from my Professor, Angela Kane, a German diplomat and the former UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs and Under-Secretary-General for Management in the United Nations. Some of the most pressing global concerns are addressed in each of these rooms. During our private UN tour organized by UNDP, I was getting flashbacks from some of the discussions we had at Prof. Kane's class. The UN has definitely made great strides since its founding, but it still has a long way to go.
