Most of the game was a defensive battle, as both teams only managed one hit apiece from the second through the fifth inning, as Nebraska pitcher Hannah Camenzind threw five scoreless innings, striking out three batters, and only allowing two hits. Camenzind improves her record to 5-2 on the season. In the top of the sixth, Bahl slammed the door shut on any potential comeback for the Boilermakers, striking out the side, and fanning five of seven batters she faced in the circle.
