So Wayne Williams got a call from Jill Scott’s manger seeing if we can remix #CantWait. It was coming up on the one year anniversary of the single & album being released so they wanted to give the song fresh boost. I knocked out the remix and it came out hot! Once they approve it, Jill’s manager asked me if there were other songs off the album that I’d be interesting in remixing. Hell yeah! I knew the album but still gave it another listen to see which songs could translate well for #House. I end up picking ‘Lighthouse’, ‘Prepared’ & ‘I’m coming To You’. In my opinion ‘Lighthouse’ was a sleeper, but I loved the song and so did her management. The first 2 remixes turned out great, but I had one more to finish in time for the one year anniversary. As I listened to the vocals I said to myself, “I gotta bring in my big bro Mike Dunn in on this one.” We ended up doing a crazy House N HD remix for “I’m Coming To You” and the package was complete. That track is still stomping out dance floors around the world to the day. And the best part of it all was that the official remixes came out on my label T’s Box Records.
