We are super excited to announce the release of our debut album, Geneva, on January 16th. This record, which has been in the making for well over a year now, will include tracks from all ends of the Low Gap sonic spectrum. Over this period of time, Gus and I (Phin) have grown as musicians and men, or at least I hope so. I sincerely think that this growth, or change, or degeneration, or whatever you want to call it can be heard on the album. When we started recording with Eric Tuffendsam at @moonlightcincy in Cinncinati, I was still a senior in high school, living part-time with my brother in Newport, Kentucky. I made the decision the spring of my junior year to move down there, where Gus was studying at the University of Cincinnati. The plan was to spend the days studying (I was finishing high school online) and the nights playing music and making the record. In September of 2024, we began recording. The work was fun and challenging. We had never had full control of our own artistic vision before, and working with Eric Tuffendsam allowed us to give our full creative input without sacrificing skill and maturity. This summer, Gus and I moved to Lexington so that I could study at the University of Kentucky, and we decided it was about time to put the full project together.
