Lotus Seed Party! Meet Nelumbo Lutea! She loves hanging out in still or slow moving freshwater on the eastern side of the US (and parts of Ontario!) though there are also reported non-native planting of it reported in Cali! They’re GORGEOUS and I LOVE THEM but WHY ARE THEIR SEED PODS SO CREEPY YET SNACK LADEN???
