"Here at Fort Edmonton Park, we take the welfare of our animals very seriously. Our horses have their hooves trimmed every 6-8 weeks by a professional farrier, who also varies the care depending on the season and the horse's needs. Along with regular vet visits our horses are provided with access to shade, wind protection, and extra feed to ensure the horses are always taken care of during any inclement weather. With a variety of equestrian animals from small ponies up to draft horses, we ensure all professionals interacting with our animals are well acquainted with their routines, needs, and personalities.
