PSA: stop telling teachers “get thicker skin”, “you’re not cut out to teach”, and “get a different job if you don’t like it” when we share about how difficult things are right now. We are just seeing the beginning of a massive teacher shortage and it’s not because we are all “weak”, the SYSTEM is what is weak. This isn’t a change that a break, professional development, conference, or extra committee can fix. And the whole toxic positivity “you got this, it’s for the kids!” BS isn’t a fix either.
