I just wanna give some big ups to Jasmine Netsena as she steps into her power with her amazing latest single! I first met her when she was part of Oshwegen’s #TruRezCrew . Years later we randomly bumped into each other at a grocery store and she mentioned she knew my Mama through the Indigenous studies program at Algonquin College. @shoshonakish also had the honour of presenting Jasmine with the TD Indigenous Songwriter Award of which Jasmine was the first ever recipient. Recently we were out on the east coast playing at the wonderful @prismaticarts and I was chatting with our friend @kevcorbett and he mentioned that he recorded on her track! He played drums, gong and tubular bells. He also mentioned the awesome pedal steel was @john_prine ’s player @fatskaplin .
