Appreciation post 👉🏻 Thank you to all the lifeguards and other servicemen and women for keeping a close eye on all of us ocean goers // I’ve never seen so many surfers in the oceans this past year and I’ve never seen so many surfers that - at first glance - likely didn’t possess the skill set to go into the ocean when they choose to // whether it’s a guy with a back-zip 3/2 with reef sneakers and a wave storm attempting to jump off the point during the first massive swell of the season or the hoards of people turning their backs to the ocean to shoot a selfie with a wave exploding behind them, you’re jobs are likely becoming increasingly stressful // I snapped this photo yesterday of the #santacruzlifeguards cruising around #SteamerLane and toilet bowl, keeping a close eye on everything during the first huge winter swell of the season // It’s great to watch many friends over the years pursue this work and be great at what you do (most recently, @__coffeybean , who is pictured) // From here to Hawaii to Europe and beyond, I appreciate you all // Feel free to share if you feel the way I do 😊
