I recently spoke to an aspiring individual who wanted to start their own skincare line with private labeling but was quickly shut down by "experts" in the industry who suggested that private labeling skincare is a form of "cheating your way into the skincare industry because its a lazy way to create a skincare line" and that if you private label, you won't see much success. ⁣ ⁣ 🟣As an expert with experience in the beauty industry, I HIGHLY disagree. That is far from the truth. I think private label skincare is a SMART strategy for MANY skincare brands that want to keep costs and minimum order quantities low while being able to focus on other aspects of the business. It's a great way for smaller brands to get started. Not to mention, private labeling is a common practice in many industries, not just in beauty.⁣ ⁣ 🟣For those starting a beauty brand, don't be afraid of private labeling. You can still see immense success by private labeling and finding your own unique brand voice and brand positioning in the market.
