Love is such a beautiful word and fulfilling concept. We all know we want to experience love; we want to receive it but often times struggle with giving it. This is because love is measured by the receiver not the giver. The receiver’s definition of love will determine whether they feel loved or not. 🤷🏾‍♂️ In community there are a number of people to share love with; to help us define what love is to us. We can’t get to this place by ourselves, we need community to do it. The first community we have is our family and if we are born into dysfunction then our idea of what love is may be dysfunctional. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Whether it’s our family, our church, our community organizations, our learning institutions or our friends, love is shared in these circles. Different people will give us different experiences and test our love but loving is an art. Everyone deserves love but everyone is different so love must be flexible. 💯 We cannot learn love, give love or receive love in solitude or away from community. We are human and human interaction is how we learn to relate one to another. Love is a huge part of these interactions. We can reflect on these questions today: What is love to us?
