No. 21 Nebraska defeats Creighton 8-2 on April 9, 2025 at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. Nebraska rewrote the history books in the victory, breaking the record for most program home runs in a season. Nebraska has increased their program-record to 79, with three home runs. Nebraska certaintely will keep building on this record, as they have many more games left in the season. Nebraska infielder Samantha Bland hit a home run in the bottom of the second to break the record. Ava Bredwell and Ava Kuszak added to the record with back-to-back homers in the bottom of the fifth. Nebraska pitcher Jordyn Bahl secured the win for the Huskers, throwing 6.0 innings, allowing only one run while striking out eight batters. Bahl improves her season record to 16-4 with the victory, which is third best in the Big Ten.
