Sacrifice the outcome... That’s what I learned through this experience. We all love to win, most of the time even more than we want to compete. At one point in this tournament my anxiety was overwhelming. I didn’t want to fall short of the podium or let anyone down. The Bible has truths, one of which is that love>fear. My coach Kevin black remind me of this multiple times this weekend and my coaches at pinnacle school of wrestling reminded me to love the fight. Going into the round of 16 I truly let this Bible truth sink in, I stopped worrying about any outcome and just wrestled free. I love wrestling and the more I remember that the less anxious I became. I ended up winning with only one match making it to the second period. Every match was either a tech and pin. I owe so many people thank you’s and I know I won’t get to everyone. Therefore I’m going to say thank you right now to everyone and anyone who has been in this process with me.
