As we mourn and reflect on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Harvey Nichols wishes to pay tribute to her legacy of female empowerment. As soon as her reign began at 25 in 1952, Her Majesty became a symbol of female strength at a time when there were few women in positions of power. Over the course of her 70-year rule, she served as a dignified example of commitment and dedication to her work, as well as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. From being the only living head of state to serve in the Second World War to transforming education for royal women, she demonstrated how females can hold powerful positions with indisputable skill. Her Majesty leaves behind a lasting legacy of stability and resilience.
