it’s not an easy one to give up but ——— the less I try to prove myself, the better I tend to feel. the less I move from a place of proving and achieving, the more I can ~lean back~ and let life carry me along the river bend. the timeline of my life *did not* unfold as I had ever thought or planned. of course, there were times I wondered what was wrong with me, why did I have to be so different to the rest, but luckily I found tools to move past those thoughts when they sprouted up. i’m grateful for my practice, the books I’ve read, even art and music and nature for giving me the courage and the strength to surrender, instead of fighting against the current of how it was all supposed to unfold, is unfolding for me. so incase you need a reminder: you are not behind. you are right on time. take it from a late bloomer: slow is often the sweetest place to be. life is to be savoured, not swallowed whole in a single gulp.
