hummingbird heartbeat @katyperry at @dragndropchicago hosted by @genderneutral_gena @imirregulargirl @itssecretqueen 🦋🏖 lil reflection: it’s been 3 months since my most recent facial feminization surgery and I can’t explain the sheer force of pure joy and awe I feel when I watch videos of myself or take photos of myself. it’s enough to make me cry from gratitude at least once a day. to be completely honest, it makes me feel so uncomfortable and feels even dangerous sometimes, something I’m not allowed to have or something bad is going to happen. but fuck, healing comes from the discomfort and I’ve been pushing myself to ground myself so I can fully take in the vastness of life—like the joy and wonder of performing drag on a beach with my friends in a city I love calling home. a blessing.
