Beloved, THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 2022 @10 AM we are excited to close out #AbyAugustRewind with our very own REV. DR. S. RASCHAAD HOGGARD, Associate Minister, Abyssinian Baptist Church, as Guest Preacher. He is a native of Plymouth, North Carolina and a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (A&T), located in Greensboro NC, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. While at A&T, he was very involved with student life, serving twice as Class President and receiving the North Carolina A&T State University Award of Excellence for his service to the university. He is also a graduate of the Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, where he studied homiletics and social ethics and a PhD graduate in Education Policy and Administration at the Graduate School of Education at Fordham University. Rev. Hoggard currently serves as an Associate Minister at the historic Abyssinian Baptist Church in the City of New York, under the leadership of Dr. Calvin O. Butts, III. He is deeply committed to following the legacies of Dr. Samuel DeWitt Proctor; former President of North Carolina A&T and Pastor Emeritus of the Abyssinian Church in Harlem, and, civil rights activist and educator, Ella Josephine Baker, who confronted injustice and dismantled systems of inequality.
