SO stoked to share this - New video for @marinacityband “Runaways” out today! Watch in full @ link in stories. Extremely proud of this project. Last year, Kris & I flew to chicago to create what I personally consider to be one of our masterpiece music videos. Marina City hired me to art direct their entire new album “The Simulation”. I will share more on the rest of the album later- but the prompts were: life is a simulation, The Dharma Initiative, retro future analog glitch vibes; my butter 🤌 I came up with the concept to have the band perform around a crew of choreographed dancers that were glowing rainbow. we filmed all the dancers in full body green screen suits which were then keyed out & filled with a custom built pulsating rainbow glitch gradient. The keyframing for all the dancer bodies took me literally 2 months - and put my computer through the ringer; but it was so worth it. Incredible choreography by @lyndseyargast & team. They did an amazing job with this. The heptagon designs on the band’s jumpsuits were created by me & custom printed. We hired @lwhitecreative to create the 7 different custom ensignias, which I then took & built out the heptagon, referencing Lost/Dharma Initiative. The new frontiers we found on this video, & the way we built it into the entirety of the band’s new album’s aesthetic & concept leave me feeling very proud. Bravo team!!
