🏴‍☠️ Hanging (literally) at the top of the mast of a 52’ yacht... @cowes_week was awesome fun 🏴‍☠️ 🌊 We came last in our race. By 40 minutes. The spinnaker sheet got tangled around our engine. We tore our jig-sail. The cutlery drawer below deck came out and sent knives and forks whizzing everywhere. And we bumped into a huge yacht when mooring... but everyone kept their full compliment of fingers, and no one got hit on the head by the boom. 🌊 💙 A BIG thank-you to @mustoclothing for kitting us out with proper sailing gear. I have loved you forever (used to wear your jackets out riding as a little girl). And thank you @chathamfootwear — not worn boat shoes before and now never want to take them off. They’re as comfortable as slippers!! 💙 🍹It was exciting when the @mountgayrum boat came and delivered drinks (even kindly providing ginger beer for us non-drinkers. Or maybe I stole the mixer..?). Thomas was so rum-happy he held his cup right in front of my face for the photo...🍹 🦞 Oh, and I got so very sunburnt that my lips actually swelled up. I didn’t know that could happen. 🦞 ✨We had the calmest, nicest skipper imaginable.
