Another successful season of Harvest Festivals is in the books! Each year we celebrate fall-themed activities for families at #NYCHA’s Eco-Hubs, which are held on Saturdays in October. The free events featured pumpkin carving/decorating, games, raffles, arts and crafts, as well as a DJ, photo booth, dancing, and a variety of healthy snacks. Along with the fun activities, this year’s Harvest Fests distributed to the community produce that was harvested by Green City Force at the Eco-Hubs. The fresh produce included collards, turnips, and carrots. The five Eco-Hub sites operated by NYCHA’s partner @GreenCityForce – which trains NYCHA youth for green jobs – are at Bay View Houses, Forest Houses, Wagner Houses, Mariner’s Harbor Houses, and Howard Houses. #FarmsAtNYCHA
