It is the end of May 1945 in Czechoslovakia. The Second World War is over, Germany has capitulated and President Beneš in mid-May calls the removal of the Germans an absolute necessity. Tensions between the Czech and German populations are growing. The Germans became the hunted, with a huge number of violent attacks, lynchings and murders. At the forefront of the wave of violence are troops returning home from the front. Many of the soldiers have lost their families, are unable to adapt to civilian life and are united by an overwhelming hatred of the Germans. The more far-sighted of the German old-timers are trying to avoid state-organised removal and are attempting to cross the border on their own. Under the cover of night, entire families with their children, sometimes accompanied by soldiers from the decimated German army, embark on the marches. It is no longer a question of property, animals or homesteads, but of bare existence. @captureonepro @fomei @ondra.southerngaragecz @southerngaragecz @tomaszdichynec @ecoflow_czsk
