If we don’t let trauma steer the ship, then we DEFINITELY don’t let ego steer it! The ego has sneaky ways of subtly influencing our behaviors and lives and “Should” is the ego‘s favorite word. I should do this, I shouldn’t do that... it’s a recipe for guilt, cognitive spiraling, and second guessing our instincts. And btw, for creativity, instincts are EVERYTHING.
