📍Joffre Lakes (Middle Lake) SAVE FOR PLANNING YOUR VISIT ▪️Joffre Lakes are 3 lakes in one hike. The entire hike is around 5 miles round trip. ▪️The first lake is an easy forest stroll taking less than 5 minutes. The second and third lake require a relatively steady and steep climb but manageable for most people. ▪️The middle lake is the prettiest and most swimmable, in my opinion. The third lake has backcountry camping requiring a permit. ▪️Since 2022, day hiking the lakes also requires a FREE day-use permit. I was able to get these online the day we hiked because there are often cancellations. But you must get them online while you have service, about 10-15 minutes before reaching the the park coming from Pemberton. ▪️Also, because of bear activity, no pets are allowed - even left behind in your camper alone! Someone has to stay with them.
