Ending the year with the last song of my album makes sense to me. I wanted to summon an album/era of dark fantasy, violent expression and catharsis, but both really ended with returning to nature. Not a Love Song is about the toxicity of humans and our anthropocentric way of relating with nature. I rly enjoyed playing this one on tour and performing ~shedding~ every night. I find myself drawn to these examinations of environmental interaction and purpose a lot lately. Trying to find a framework through which this mostly deplorable world makes sense. I’m really grateful to have your attention while I explore different ways to connect and guide through theatrically activated emotional spaces of sonic sluttiness. I think the next album is going to be a lot more fun. I feel really inspired and excited to greet u again next year with new songs.
