Happy 1 year to my bodywork practice in LA !!!!!
HUGE THANKS to all my clients.

One year ago today was my first session in LA after moving back from Boulder. Over the last 12 months across over 650 sessions, Iāve gotten more practice under my hands than Iāve ever experienced and my love & appreciation for this craft has only grown. Iām not going to lie to you, for the first couple years after graduating from the Rolf Institute I wasnāt sure if Rolfing was the miraculous bodywork modality it was chocked up to be. I often thought to myself: āis Rolfing just a glorified massage scam? Am I just taking peopleās money without providing real benefits? Did I pick the wrong career path?ā

Still after my training I worked on growing my practice first in Colorado, then in California~ Always working with my clients to the best of my skill + knowledge. Over time and especially over the last year, my clientsā feedback started surprising me: people really were getting out of pain and seeing huge benefits after just a few sessions, sometimes just one. The more positive feedback I received, the more my doubt in Rolfing dissolved. My faith in it now is stronger than ever and I truly believe Rolfing is capable of relieving even the most chronic of aches + pains that have been unresponsive to other treatments. Certainly not in all cases but many. Iāve seen clients get out of pain theyāve struggled with for months, sometimes even years. Iāve seen clients cancel MRI appointments / surgery consults after a few sessions working together. Iāve seen clients get back in the gym and PRing after months long hiatuses due to injuries (nothing makes me happier than this)

For anyone working in the healing arts, hereās the most important lesson Iāve learned over the last year: truly gaining confidence in your craft (both on the business side, and skill side) requires time and patience. As with any practice, reps are the absolute best way to mature your art and expertise. Especially in a service-based business, you have to have trust that if your skill is there, the right clients will find you. Stick with it.
