Product takes time to apply, swipe for some visuals ⬅️ When it comes to solid color, we can apply product faster, so we'll likely use more product for the time we have to apply. When it comes to foiled or sectioned application, it will take us longer to apply, so we'll use less than if it was a solid application. Learning your time to apply is key in determining how much product should be included in a service. This is how we structure services that are priced well for both the product and time included. It also helps with pricing transparency and booking for the right amount of time. This allows Stylists and salons to open online booking and make better use of their schedules. Charging for extra "bowls" usually doesn't cover the extra time it's taking you to apply and going over on time means that you'll likely be running late 😬 Here is an example of my timing: Full Highlight: Service time 2.5 hours 1 hour of application 60 to 80 foils 60 grams of lightener to 90 grams of developer ( 2 bowls) 20 grams of toner to 40 grams developer If I can't get my client done with this service, then I need to book for a service with more time and more product included. Once I have my standard mixing ratio amounts for each service, they are entered into my booking system service menu under business costs so I can track the cost of services done during a certain duration of time. This helps keep us within budget and plan for how much we should be replenishing in color stock.
