Dear community, This Thanksgiving Day I wanted to take a moment and express the immense gratitude I feel for every single one of you. Looking back, I never could have imagined Gurls Talk would grow into the organization we've built today. Growing up, I felt so isolated in my experience and identity. I spent so much time trying to fit in, and couldn’t imagine a space where I felt like I belonged. The moment I shared my story, everything changed. I learned that even though I felt so alone, there were so many of you out there who deeply connected to my experience. Your stories flooded my inbox and formed a mesh of raw, honest connections that became the backbone of Gurls Talk. These stories have changed my life and the lives of so many of you, who have found solace and belonging through them. I want to thank each and every one of you for showing up for me and for each other over the years. It’s been incredibly moving to watch gurls from all over the world build such beautiful friendships and come together to support each other – no matter how big or small the issue. I promise to continue my commitment to carving out a safe space where you can find each other, and get the resources you need wherever you are on your mental health journeys.
