The Queen of British Fashion Dame Vivienne Isabel Westwood has sadly passed away yesterday age of 81. The English fashion designer and businesswoman was largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. Her influential designs often incorporated traditional British fabrics including tweeds and tartans. Images drawn from the British monarchy and from French Rococo painting, which she discovered at the Wallace Collection museum, also featured prominently.
